[Student records](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/mis/student-records?hsLang=en-gb) # CTF Export GO 4 Schools MIS can export CTF files for the transferring of student data to other providers, as well as when exporting student records for Local Authorities.  CTF export is accessible to school managers and those with the can manage student admissions permission, which itself needs these other permissions to view and manage basic student info. Users with that can access the page.   #### **CTF Export listing page** Go to **People \> Admissions \> CTF Export** to view the page where you can see all previous exports. The page lists a display name, the document and data qualifiers. The number of students when it was generated, who generated it, whether it was validated against the DfE validation schema, or whether it was bypassed. And then the file link. ![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Apr-10-2026-12-04-48-6050-PM.png?width=1349&height=193&name=undefined-Apr-10-2026-12-04-48-6050-PM.png) To download, click on the file link.  The number of students will be clickable and it’ll open a modal listing all the students with links to their student pages. #### **Create a new export** Select **+New CTF Export** at the top of the page to access the modal.  ![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Apr-10-2026-12-04-48-8546-PM.png?width=789&height=634&name=undefined-Apr-10-2026-12-04-48-8546-PM.png) Add a display name for the export such as destination school.  The skip validation forces steps to be skipped if specific data is not available: - If you haven't filled in the local authority and establishment numbers in the school settings page. Local authority number and the department establishment number URN is optional. Students required for the export are picked using the student selector.  This will also include pre-admission students and leavers that were on roll. Individual students can be searched for, or a whole year group.
