# Adding attribute groups to consents

The student selection pop out features an **Attributes** tab that will show any student attributes set to use for messaging and consents. To add groups to this list you will need to use the settings page for the attributes. **Student attributes** are available under the **People menu**. Once you open the settings for the attribute you'd like to add, just tick the box to **Use for messaging and consents**.
