# Curriculum Overview Page

The curriculum overview page is a refresh of the legacy **Detailed statistics** page where users can view grades by threshold values and average points across all subjects available in GO 4 Schools. Alongside the tools available in the **[Curriculum analysis](https://support.go4schools.com/modular/using-the-year-group-enhanced-ribbons)** page users can now forensically analyse the assessment outcomes for students by comparing subjects and making key decisions to support future learning.

The **Curriculum overview** page can be accessed via the **Pathfinder menu \> Year group \> Curriculum overview** or from the **At a glance** year group page via the more options on the Year group ribbons and the **[RPI](https://support.go4schools.com/modular/residual-progress-indicator-rpi)** sections of the page.

**Pass rates by subject**

For Key stage 4 the tables display grade thresholds for GCSE subjects using numeric or APS and Key grade where an **[Internal grading scheme](https://support.go4schools.com/modular/school-based-grading-schemes)** is in use.  Primary schools and Key stage 3 will display subjects by key grade based on the Internal grading scheme settings.  Key stage 5 grade Pass rate thresholds will follow in a later release.

The menu bar enables users to select the data they require to populate the tables:

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-46-08-0081-AM.png?width=670&height=38&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-46-08-0081-AM.png)

1. **Add table(s)** allows the selection of any grade threshold from the available GCSE grades, if more than one grade is selected then each selection will create a new table.![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-46-40-0770-AM.png?width=154&height=228&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-46-40-0770-AM.png)
2. **Select grade types** enables the selection of any enabled grade type to display. There is also the option to change the order of the grade display in the columns.![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-46-49-7497-AM.png?width=515&height=159&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-46-49-7497-AM.png)
3. **Select snapshot** gives the option to select from any data capture from a prepared report in GO 4 Schools. If the subjects are using the same grading scheme for qualifications across academic years, then you can select snapshots for these. The subjects also need to be linked via the subject settings page accessible from the subject page or the **[Subjects and qualifications](https://support.go4schools.com/modular/subjects-and-qualifications)** page. See article on **[linking subjects](https://support.go4schools.com/modular/linking-subjects-and-flight-path-charts)**.

NB: Snapshot data from prepared reports will only include the students and subjects that were included in the report. It is also important to note that the student statistics rule does not apply on this page as it is using the group memberships.

The **Toggle snapshot visibility for Target grades** allows the option of removing duplicate data that would otherwise display for your targets if these have not changed throughout the academic year.
   ![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-47-00-9381-AM.png?width=539&height=307&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-47-00-9381-AM.png)
4. Toggling the **Visualise trends** button enables the option to colour code the snapshot data to highlight trends easily in the data. Red for a decrease and green for an increase in the percentage or count of students at the selected grade threshold.![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-47-11-1490-AM.png?width=530&height=107&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-47-11-1490-AM.png)
5. **Sorting subjects by Department/Alphabetical** allows you to select your preferred display of the data. If Departments is selected, then when using the sorts within the table for grades the Department will always be a priority and therefore the data will display in order by Department.![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-47-22-1474-AM.png?width=441&height=146&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-47-22-1474-AM.png)

If Alphabetical is selected, then the department column will disappear, and you can sort by grade columns in the entire table across the curriculum to see the student performance.
6. **Toggling the Percentage/counts** option changes the view of the data to the preferred display. Where small numbers of students are being viewed it is sometimes better to review by the student count than the percentage. The count of students in the subject is displayed to the left of the selected columns and can also be viewed as a tooltip in the table.![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-47-33-8294-AM.png?width=508&height=179&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-47-33-8294-AM.png)

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-47-47-7418-AM.png?width=45&height=36&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-47-47-7418-AM.png)NB: The exclamation symbol is for missing marks if assessments have had a deadline date added in the markbook set up.
7. **Load/save a set of tables** gives users the option to save a preferred set of data columns and schools the option to create School selections tables that can be shared to other users to enable a consistent review of key data.  Preferred data sets can be saved and added to groups to make it easier for staff with different responsibilities to find the tables they require.
   ![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-47-59-8249-AM.png?width=504&height=180&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-47-59-8249-AM.png)

**Student filter**

**![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-48-15-3659-AM.png?width=156&height=38&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-48-15-3659-AM.png)**

Once you have selected the data to display in the tables the **Add a student filter** allows the selection of a specific focus group or multiple focus group filter. The system list has the key groups for analysis and the **Specify a new set of students** will display all attributes set for **analysis of attainment** in the student attributes that are included in an attribute set. By selecting your preferred combined groups, for example Pupil premium boys you can drill down into the data to compare outcomes.

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-48-24-3125-AM.png?width=583&height=269&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-48-24-3125-AM.png)![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-48-35-2845-AM.png?width=605&height=252&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-48-35-2845-AM.png)

The data will appear below the main table to display for the selected focus groups, this can easily be removed by selecting the X in the table header. The order of the filtered focus groups data can be moved up or down but not over the **All students** data.

Once you have the data you require this can be downloaded by using the download at the bottom of the tables to extract the data as a .CSV file.  The format of the .CSV file will follow that of the table layout selection.

**Key grade and above**

Where Internal grading schemes are in use either for curriculum-based subjects or for tracking wider curriculum areas if selected from the **Add tables** option this table will add the data in the same way as the grade tables.  For smaller cohorts and primary schools, the count option may give the best view of the data.

**Average points per subject**

The second section of tables will display all subjects by the selected points score, the functionality works as explained for the **Pass rates per subject tables** except when adding tables, the option differs to select the required points:

- GCSE numeric points per subject – used for English qualifications.
- APS points per subject – used for Welsh qualifications.
- School score points – used by school not using formal points with internal grading schemes.

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-48-59-9660-AM.png?width=233&height=64&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-48-59-9660-AM.png)

The data in the table can also be sorted by department or alphabetical and saved or shared with other users.  Also, the download is available for the table if required.

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-49-17-5759-AM.png?width=502&height=172&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-49-17-5759-AM.png)

**Student level data**

For each of the tables as the data in each cell is live this can be selected to show the students with group membership for the subject, the option to download csv or open in the data explorer allows the option to view the grades/points for each student so decisions for interventions or further support for learning can be made.

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-49-24-6892-AM.png?width=520&height=226&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-49-24-6892-AM.png)

**Key Stage 5**

Year groups in Key stage 5 will display the data relevant to these cohorts of students including L3VA by A’Level, Academic and Applied general cohorts as well as the Pass rates by subject in grade bands and the Average points per subject. This will depend on your settings for visibility of KS5 statistics.

**L3VA tables**

For the L3VA tables to show on the curriculum overview page you will need to have the required baseline data uploaded into the student attributes for KS4 Prior attainment, see the [Guidance for L3VA baselining](https://support.go4schools.com/modular/guidance-for-l3va-baselining-when-using-2019-estimates-and-beyond) article.

In the Statistics and analysis settings page the L3VA should be set to use the most recent set of estimate data, if set to ‘Do not show’ the L3VA will not display.

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-49-40-1891-AM.png?width=670&height=65&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-49-40-1891-AM.png)

The curriculum overview page will display the data for the cohorts enabled and with KS4 prior attainment data.

**Add tables** allows you to select for the 3 cohorts of A Level, Academic and Applied general.

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-49-50-9256-AM.png?width=134&height=83&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-49-50-9256-AM.png)

As per the menu selection for other year groups you can also select your specific grade types and remove additional target grades, so they do not repeat. Add snapshots, change the sorting, and save the table set.

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-50-01-5259-AM.png?width=112&height=35&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-50-01-5259-AM.png)

Once your table selection is complete you have further options to remove subjects from the table view, which will be useful to remove vocational subjects if reviewing data for A Level subjects for example.

You can then Add student filters to view the data by specific focus groups i.e. Bursary students or IDSR bands.

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-50-45-5034-AM.png?width=571&height=107&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-50-45-5034-AM.png)

The table will display the selected range of data and display trends to easily track changes.

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-50-55-6590-AM.png?width=467&height=191&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-50-55-6590-AM.png)

Clicking on the data in the L3VA table will show a mini-popup with the L3VA score per student for the subjects selected. Which can be downloaded as required, note that there is no option to view this data in the Data explorer.

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-51-05-0775-AM.png?width=383&height=220&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-51-05-0775-AM.png)

As per other year groups the data from the tables can be downloaded as a .csv file.

**Pass rates by subject**

These tables again are the same as other year groups when selecting the data, the Add tables tab will show the options for the A Level grade bands and also for non A and AS level subjects.

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-51-14-8663-AM.png?width=151&height=141&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-09-51-14-8663-AM.png)

If non A and AS level subjects are selected a new table will display showing the pass rates for all vocational subjects by each selected grade type.

**Average points per subject**

At KS5 the ‘Add tables’ tab will show the option to select the APS per subject and Average numeric points per subjects for any GCSE resit subjects available. All other functions are as described in the earlier section of this article.

**Future updates**

Please note that as this page is a refresh of the current Detailed statistics page, we currently have no plans to remove the legacy statistics pages, but we will inform schools as soon as this process is planned. Any feedback would be welcome via our Support centre.
