# Flushing a full set of attendance marks
Before you start to use the GO 4 Schools attendance module, we recommend that you flush all session and lesson attendance data from your MIS to GO 4 Schools from the start of the academic year through to the end of the school day prior to enabling the module. This process is typically performed by your network management team, using the GO 4 Schools feed configuration utility, which is typically installed on your MIS server.
You can set the date range for both the Attendance: Registration and Attendance: Lesson feeds, then click **Run now**. The process should take no more than 60 minutes, depending on the performance of the server where the feed system is installed on.
**Please note:** This process can also be used if your school is already on tier one of the attendance module, which displays attendance taken in your MIS. By default we receive the last 14 days attendance data, so attendance marks that are more than fourteen days ago will not automatically update in GO 4 Schools. We highly recommend making attendance officers aware of this so that they can notify the network manager to run the feeds with the appropriate dates of the changes. Alternatively your network manager may be able to set up an automated flush through ever weekend. There is no need to repeat this process when using tier two or three of attendance, only upon initial setup.
