# How can I update a student's leaving date

**How can I update a student's leaving date**

Accurate leaving dates provide better accuracy in statistics on GO 4 Schools, particularly in attendance. For most schools we pick this data up automatically in the overnight feeds. However for iSAMS schools we are currently unable to extract leaving dates.

For iSAMS schools we've opened an option to manage leaving dates directly in GO 4 Schools [**Student Attributes**](https://support.go4schools.com/modular/student-attributes). It's called **Leaving Date Update** (located in the Custom attributes section).

It'll contain existing leaving dates if there are any. To see students in a year group - click on the number under it in the **No timestamp** row. Add any leaving dates, and your changes will be applied overnight.
