# How to manage a subject started at the beginning of the year and during the year some or all of the groups change qualifications?

If you have students taking different qualifications for a subject in the same class, your school manager can use feed rules to create a separate subject for the second qualification. If a qualification for a whole subject changes, in some cases you would simply be able to change the qualification tied to the markbook. However, if there are any grade differences between one qualification and another, the markbook will need to be reset. In this case we would recommend downloading all of the data for the current markbook to re-upload once the new qualification is attached.
