# Add a new assessment or tracking column to a marksheet

When you add a new marksheet, a **Grade** type assessment will be created by default. Should you want to use another type, click on the text below the first assessment **Add a new assessment or tracking column** and a popup will display the various options available:

Once the required assessment type is selected, it will be created below the first assessment. If you do not require the default grade assessment, you can click the **X** to the right of it to delete it. You are able to add as many assessments as you require.
