# Curriculum Overview Page (Wales)

The curriculum overview page is a refresh of the legacy **Detailed statistics** page where users can view grades by threshold values and average points across all subjects available in GO 4 Schools. Alongside the tools available in the **[Curriculum analysis](https://support.go4schools.com/modular/using-the-year-group-enhanced-ribbons)** page users can now forensically analyse the assessment outcomes for students by comparing subjects and making key decisions to support future learning.

The **Curriculum overview** page can be accessed via the **Pathfinder menu \> Year group \> Curriculum overview** or from the **At a glance** year group page via the more options on the Year group ribbons and the **[RPI](https://support.go4schools.com/modular/residual-progress-indicator-rpi)** sections of the page.

**Pass rates by subject**

For Key stage 4 the tables display grade thresholds for GCSE subjects using A\*-G grades or APS, and 'Key grade' where an **[Internal grading scheme](https://support.go4schools.com/modular/school-based-grading-schemes)** is in use.  Primary schools and Key stage 3 will display subjects by key grade based on the Internal grading scheme settings.  Key stage 5 grade Pass rate thresholds will follow in a later release.

The menu bar enables users to select the data they require to populate the tables:

1. **Add table(s)** allows the selection of any grade threshold from the available GCSE grades, if more than one grade is selected then each selection will create a new table.![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-24-57-7785-AM.png?width=286&height=231&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-24-57-7785-AM.png)
2. **Select grade types** enables the selection of any enabled grade type to display. There is also the option to change the order of the grade display in the columns.![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-25-07-2059-AM.png?width=450&height=230&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-25-07-2059-AM.png)
3. **Select snapshot** gives the option to select from any data capture from a prepared report in GO 4 Schools. If the subjects are using the same grading scheme for qualifications across academic years, then you can select snapshots for these. The subjects also need to be linked via the subject settings page accessible from the subject page or the **[Subjects and qualifications](https://support.go4schools.com/modular/subjects-and-qualifications)** page. See article on **[linking subjects](https://support.go4schools.com/modular/linking-subjects-and-flight-path-charts)**.

NB: Snapshot data from prepared reports will only include the students and subjects that were included in the report. It is also important to note that the student statistics rule does not apply on this page as it is using the group memberships.

The **Toggle snapshot visibility for Target grades** allows the option of removing duplicate data that would otherwise display for your targets if these have not changed throughout the academic year.![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-25-19-5094-AM.png?width=559&height=288&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-25-19-5094-AM.png)
4. Toggling the **Visualise trends** button enables the option to colour code the snapshot data to highlight trends easily in the data. Red for a decrease and green for an increase in the percentage or count of students at the selected grade threshold.![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-25-28-6898-AM.png?width=485&height=98&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-25-28-6898-AM.png)
5. **Sorting subjects by Department/Alphabetical** allows you to select your preferred display of the data. If Departments is selected, then when using the sorts within the table for grades the Department will always be a priority and therefore the data will display in order by Department.![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-25-38-6960-AM.png?width=450&height=149&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-25-38-6960-AM.png)
If Alphabetical is selected, then the department column will disappear, and you can sort by grade columns in the entire table across the curriculum to see the student performance.
6. **Toggling the Percentage/counts** option changes the view of the data to the preferred display. Where small numbers of students are being viewed it is sometimes better to review by the student count than the percentage. The count of students in the subject is displayed to the left of the selected columns and can also be viewed as a tooltip in the table.
   ![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-25-48-2287-AM.png?width=498&height=147&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-25-48-2287-AM.png)
![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-26-05-6698-AM.png?width=42&height=33&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-26-05-6698-AM.png)NB: The exclamation symbol is for missing marks if assessments have had a deadline date added in the markbook set up.
7. **Load/save a set of tables** gives users the option to save a preferred set of data columns and schools the option to create School selections tables that can be shared to other users to enable a consistent review of key data.  Preferred data sets can be saved and added to groups to make it easier for staff with different responsibilities to find the tables they require.
   ![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-26-21-1233-AM.png?width=454&height=162&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-26-21-1233-AM.png)

**Student filter**

**![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-26-29-9447-AM.png?width=168&height=41&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-26-29-9447-AM.png)**

Once you have selected the data to display in the tables the **Add a student filter** allows the selection of a specific focus group or multiple focus group filter. The system list has the key groups for analysis and the **Specify a new set of students** will display all attributes set for **analysis of attainment** in the student attributes that are included in an attribute set. By selecting your preferred combined groups, for example Pupil premium boys you can drill down into the data to compare outcomes.

![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-26-38-5368-AM.png?width=547&height=244&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-26-38-5368-AM.png)![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-26-45-5685-AM.png?width=554&height=166&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-26-45-5685-AM.png)

The data will appear below the main table to display for the selected focus groups, this can easily be removed by selecting the X in the table header. The order of the filtered focus groups data can be moved up or down but not over the **All students** data.

Once you have the data you require this can be downloaded by using the download at the bottom of the tables to extract the data as a .CSV file.  The format of the .CSV file will follow that of the table layout selection.

**Key grade and above**

Where Internal grading schemes are in use either for curriculum-based subjects or for tracking wider curriculum areas if selected from the **Add tables** option this table will add the data in the same way as the grade tables.  For smaller cohorts and primary schools, the count option may give the best view of the data.

**Average points per subject**

The second section of tables will display all subjects by the selected points score, the functionality works as explained for the **Pass rates per subject tables.**

The data in the table can also be sorted by department or alphabetical and saved or shared with other users.  Also, the download is available for the table if required.![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-27-09-6072-AM.png?width=642&height=187&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-27-09-6072-AM.png)

**Student level data**

For each of the tables as the data in each cell is live this can be selected to show the students with group membership for the subject, the option to download csv or open in the data explorer allows the option to view the grades/points for each student so decisions for interventions or further support for learning can be made.![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-27-28-1828-AM.png?width=633&height=305&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-27-28-1828-AM.png)

**Key Stage 5**

1. **Pass rates by subject**- These tables again are the same as other year groups when selecting the data, the 'Add tables' tab will show the options for the A Level grade bands and also for non A and AS level subjects. If non A and AS level subjects are selected a new table will display showing the pass rates for all vocational subjects by each selected grade type.
   ![](https://supporttest.go4schools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-27-38-1972-AM.png?width=169&height=159&name=image-png-Apr-08-2026-10-27-38-1972-AM.png)
2. **Average points per subject**- This will display all subjects by the APS with the same functionality as outlined above.

All other functions are as described in the earlier section of this article.

**Future updates**

Please note that as this page is a refresh of the current Detailed statistics page, we currently have no plans to remove the legacy statistics pages currently, but we will inform schools as soon as this process is planned.  Any feedback would be welcome via our Support centre.
