Behaviour module preparation

We recommend doing some planning prior to setting up the behaviour module, but many schools find the information they need is already expressed in their school's behaviour policy. You should:

  • Identify the types of events that you want to record
  • Identify the set of immediate actions that you want available to staff.
  • Identify the set of follow-up actions that you want available to staff.
  • Organise the types of events into classifications based on their point score, immediate, and follow-up actions.

Tips:

  • When staff record behaviour events in GO 4 Schools, the system uses information it already knows about involved students to automatically link the event to the students' year groups, tutor groups, and houses. Depending on your behaviour policy, actions such as Inform head of year may therefore be unnecessary.
  • Actions such as Record event in student planner may also be unnecessary, as recording the event in GO 4 Schools may well replace that action.
