Allow us to respond to site issues faster through improved notifications and logging
Communicate with you better if problems occur through the new support site

12 May - 15:26-15:46 - Site slowness

This primarily affected the student details page.

12 May - 13:01-14:16 - Problems logging in and slowness

Logging in and logging out was slow for users, and failed for a small number on one attempt but succeeded on a second attempt.

12 May - 08:57-10:53 - Site outage

The system allowed a school to copy a ‘school qualification’ with a very large number of grades which, once saved to the database, could not be loaded back into memory.

This caused an unavailability of the site.

10 May - 08:00-08:40 - Some pages unavailable

Instability occurred in one of the in-memory databases (MongoDB) that supports the web sites.

This caused certain pages in the ‘new-look’ areas of the site to be unavailable.

6 May - 11:17-11:41 - Site instability

Instability occurred in one of the in-memory databases (Redis) that supports the web sites.

This caused periods of unavailability for the system as a whole.
