Seating plan overview

The seating plan module uses the full range of student data held within the modules of GO 4 Schools. This enables teachers to review and use individual student data to create impact in the classroom by embedding this information into planning for teaching and learning. Seating plans are beneficial to schools in a number of ways:

• Assessment, attendance, and behaviour information can be considered when deciding how to place students together in a room.
• Students who are falling behind, or require additional support are easily identified and lessons can be adapted to improve their learning.
• Meaningful seating plans can be created in minutes. Multiple seating plans can be saved for each room and class, saving teachers' time when planning group activities using a different template.
• Key groups can be easily highlighted to encourage appropriately pitched questioning to clarify knowledge and understanding.
• During observations and learning walks, the observer can quickly be aware of the profile of the group, and clarify appropriate teaching methods in use.
• Leadership can monitor all seating plans to ensure consistency and quality across the school.
• Room layouts can be created across the school and re-used by all teachers to save time.
