Parents can respond to SMS messages sent out by the school for both attendance and ad-hoc messages. The functionality is enabled on the SMS settings page via the People menu:
Please be aware that this service has a small cost associated with it, managed by your Twilio account. This consists of a small monthly charge for the phone number, and a cost per reply message. For up to date costs please see the Twilio pricing page.
The messages will be displayed on the SMS Inbox page. You can optionally also enter an SMS reply email address which will additionally be sent all the parental replies. For example, this could be an attendanceteam@yourschool.com email so all attendance messages can be quickly resolved.
