Statistics - Options to include/exclude actual grades
It is important to know whether we are displaying your statistics for all grade types with or without the influence of actual grades. Where actual grades are included, we will select the higher of the target/progress grade and the actual grade. For example, if a student has an external target of D in English, but an actual grade of C in English, depending on your settings you can choose to count the C in the external target statistics.
There are two places to alter this functionality:
To change this on a school-wide basis, a school manager can use settings on the Grade and Residual settings page (under the Curriculum menu). Under each individual grade type is a setting called "Include Actual grades in performance measures for". You can choose whether to include all actual grades, previous academic year actual grades, or no actual grades for each grade type. Individual users can choose to override the school-wide settings on each year group and subject page. Above each key statistics block is a cog icon Statistics for academic year xxxx based on “Live data”…. Using the Change link you can choose which actual grades to include in which grade type. These settings are not retained when you move away from the screen.
