Viewing form and teaching group attendance in GO 4 Schools

To view your form or teaching group attendance register in GO 4 Schools, left click on the class attendance icon on your timetable for either the form group or the teaching group.

If you have linked your timetable to your GO 4 Schools account (which can be done via the Settings link in the drop down for the GO 4 Schools menu option on right hand corner), you will see your groups listed in the teacher menu. Click the Group attendance link to access the attendance register as shown below.

Once you have selected the class register you wish to view, you will see the following screen where you can select the date range to display attendance marks for the class, and a filter option so you can select to view certain mark types or all attendance for all students. The process described below can be applied to form or class attendance registers.

Once you have selected the required date range, you can see all attendance marks for the class within that time period. The example below shows marks for all students for the 1st – 7th October, but is too wide to display on the screen.

You can then choose a compact view by clicking on the ‘C’ button so that it is easier to view all of the marks on one screen.

You are then able to highlight certain mark types by clicking the ‘H’ button, to select the highlighting of certain codes for either lesson marks or session marks. This is really useful to spot patterns with a particular student or group of students’ attendance, where they may have been late to a particular lesson or school on multiple occasions.

Lesson attendance (‘L’ column) or session (am/pm) attendance (‘S’) highlighting is selected by using the checkboxes. The mark type chosen is then colour coded using the colour next to the code.
